Rural planning
Land outside the settlement boundary isn't a lost cause, but it takes the right route and a properly argued case. We've won permissions for agricultural tied farmhouses, turned multiple cartsheds and barns into homes under Part Q, and secured countryside houses on greenfield land. We also work with rural businesses and Agriculture. If you've been told "that'll never get planning" or need a great big shed for your business, talk to us.
One-off homes
Building your own home is one of the biggest things you'll ever do. We take one-off houses from the first coffee in our office through to handover of a complete home: site appraisal, planning, detailed design, building control, tender and the build itself. Our projects include a transformed windmill, a country house with a roof terrace overlooking a Racecourse, and large stone-built farmhouses.
Small sites
Barn conversions, groups of homes and small developments. We've taken schemes of six, eight and sixteen homes through planning and on to completion, and we're just as happy working with a landowner on a single plot.
Domestic extensions
From a kitchen and entertaining space that blends into a stone farmhouse to a major remodel of a run-down cottage, we design extensions that suit the house you've got and the way you live. We handle planning, building control and finding a contractor, so you're not left to untangle it yourself.
